The Holiday Inn Express in Poughkeepsie was recently remodeled. Rooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is delicious, with homemade cinnamon buns and a variety of fruits and breads. The hotel is far enough from Route 9 so that rooms are quiet, and the sound proof rooms were such that you did not hear any surrounding rooms, even when there was a wedding party on our floor. There are several restaurants nearby for eating options, and there are movie theaters and malls only a couple miles away. I would stay in the Holiday Inn Express whenever visiting the Poughkeepsie area.

Great Place to Stay! My room was exactly what I was looking for.....King size bed, lots of pillows, quiet and clean room, friendly staff.....I was left alone, but yet there was help if I needed it. Great price....I was very happy with my stay. Very convenient location. I stayed for 3 days/nights.

If we ever return to the Hudson River Valley, we will definitely stay here again. Good location, excellent shopping and restaurants nearby, as well as attractions. More importantly, the service at this hotel was excellent, the staff friendly, the breakfast was very good, the rooms clean and well-maintained.

My room was very nice, looked brand new, great pillows, even better bathroom; the shower was great the towels thick and new looking. My so called continental breakfast turned out to have a cheese omelet and bacon! I even got to enjoy it outside on the patio. Over all this was the best Holiday Inn Express I had ever stayed in. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has to go to Poughkeepsie.
